Panto Script Writing Promo

Posted on

Finally getting round to a bit of promotion for my script writing. Panto season is all but over so its time to think about next year.

The first draft of the promo booklet can be downloaded here – promo-booklet

As well as full pantomime scripts I also offer  –

Rewriting / Updating
You may already have a script, but feel it lacks something. Have you a cast member that has a special talent; are you short on people to play all the parts; would you like an extra character added to the story? I can help. Contact me and we’ll chat.

Stage Adaptations
Is there a book or story that you would like to perform on stage. I can write the script for you.

Song Lyric Rewrites
If you have a song in mind for your Panto, but the words don’t quite fit with the story i can take your song choice and change the lyrics so they fit with the music and the plot.

Jokes
Have you had a script knocking around for years. Are some of the jokes out-of-date? Send us a copy and we’ll see what we can do. Topical jokes, local references, modern slants added.

Lighting / Sound
Need help with lighting or on the sound desk. Give me a call. I use Daslight lighting controller that can link into most theatres lighting systems.

Posters / Flyers / Programmes
If you need posters designed or printed, or if you want a souvenir programme created, I can help.

Free Gigs and Reasons Why I Quit.

Posted on Updated on

I was asked recently, by a nice old lady  if I could book some live music for a local event. “What’s the budget?” I asked. The woman looked at me like I’d molested her pet parrot. Confused, worried and a little shocked she said “It’s a community event.”

Still looking at me like that had answered my question she continued “It’s to raise money for the local parish. There’ll be hundreds of people there.”

“So there’s no fee?”

“I’m sure we can offer them a cream cake and as much tea and coffee they want.”

I have put on gigs in a variety of venues in Worcester. The Marrs Bar, Drummonds, Keystones, Coach and Horses, St Swithuns Church, Cap n Gown, Boston Tea Party, The Pheasant, Swan With Two Nicks, Worcester Arts Workshop, Eagle Vaults, Tudor House Museum …. (jeez, that’s a lot of venues. I’d forgotten about a lot of these until writing this list.) Read the rest of this entry »

10906397_10153085228453274_2515145348900190622_nNot Just Sauce has been in the local music scene mix for approximately 10 years.

That’s a decade of promoting live and unsigned music in Worcester. Being a promoter of more live gigs in more venues  than I care to remember. Acoustic, rock, country, folk, metal, punk, spoken word. I’ve done it all. Not always well. Not always profitable (in fact, profit was a rare thing). Read the rest of this entry »

s about time that I found out …
Six months. That’s how much time I have had to prepare for a day of looking after my son. Not that I haven’t looked after him before. I have. Many times, but I have always had the assurance that my wife was just a room away, or a street away or at least in the same city. Today was different. She was in another county with very little phone signal. Read the rest of this entry »
